Shaun Barratt, the man who chased his dreams and made it

Shaun Barratt grew up without knowing what life is all about. His mother expired when he was too young. With a younger sister Shaun had nowhere to go.  So he started working as Chef and later enrolled himself with in Massey University on full-time basis to study accounts.

 Shaun Francis Barratt after having completed his accounting started working for Goodman Fielder Wattie’ the food giant in Australia.  He was assigned to look after their accounting status for both Australia and New Zealand.  Soon Shaun Barratt became a thorough professional and was promoted as Financial Controller where he would take care of their subsidiary ‘Pacific Foods and later to Parex Industries.  As Shaun Barratt showed tremendous dedication he went on to gain better responsibility and better opportunities. He joined Robert Bosch, and moved to New Zealand as the company’s accountant. This followed his coming back to Australia to look after the Bosch Trading Divisions as Controller.

Shaun Barratt was able to find interest in HR recruiting after having worked with big concern and wanted to start his own HR Company. This dream later took shape as ‘Salt’ was able to spread his business across Australia.

Shaun Francis Barratt also runs a fashion store- Maggie Potter in Auckland Wellington and Melbourne in Australia. But right now he wants to concentrate on ‘Salt’ and makes it a premier HR company with as many branches across the world.

Shaun Francis Barratt, beginning with his motto

Shaun Francis Barratt is perhaps one of the best known entrepreneurs in Australia. He was a school drop out, but later went on to start his own human resource firm called ‘Salt’. Shaun Barratt is also the founder of fashion store- Maggie Potter in Auckland Wellington and Melbourne in Australia.

Shaun Barratt initially started working as Chef to support himself after his mother’s sudden demise. He later joined Massey University to study accounting on a full-time basis. After having finished his accounting course, opportunity came his way. Shaun Barratt was hired by Goodman Fielder Wattiee, the food giant in Australia.
He started his career in finance and after a successful stint in the junior level Shaun Barratt was promoted as the accountant and handed over the charge of one of the subsidiary ‘Pacific Foods and then to Parex Industries as Financial Controller. 

Shaun Barratt later went on to achieve higher roles by joining Robert Bosch. This was the time that he was asked to look after their New Zealand unity as the company’s accountant. He was back to Australia as Robert Bosch Trading Divisions as Controller.

Talking about ‘Salt’, Shaun Barratt want to make it as one of the premier HR recruiting firm in the world, as of now the company has 6 branches across the world.

Shaun wants to acquire a doctorate, but before that he would like to settle ‘Salt’ to be among the best company that caters to the need of he customers the way they want it.

In spite of his hectic schedule Shaun Barratt loves to spend time with his family and have fun. He loves to travel and meet new areas of business and chalking out various plans.
